The Most Effective Way to Draw An Owl Step by step

Kids and adults can follow these simple steps in this tutorial on drawing owls!

Step 1

First, draw the eyes of the owl. Make two circles and fill them in for the students (you may need to leave a blank piece for the look, or you can do it later with an eraser if you are using a graphite pencil). Make 2 more circles around the first one, leaving some space in the middle. Then make 2 curved lines at this point, as shown before.

Step 2

Then, continue the curved line to curve under the eyes and meet just below the line’s highest point, leaving some space.

Step 3

Now how about drawing the owl’s body. Create an oval shape that starts near the eye and curves over the closest watch on the opposite side. Add 2 curved thin lines on one side or the other of its body for the wings. Then add a U-shaped line across the lower body for the tail. Define 2 straight and equal edges for the branch and then make 3 small ovals on the underside of its body for its feet. Next, draw a gem for its mouth, covering one side of it and leaving the opposite side white for the feature. You now have an adorable owl drawing animated with these baselines. You can stop here or continue below to add more design details if needed.

Step 4

Add 2 curved thin lines on one side or the other of its body for the wings. Then add a U-shaped line across the bottom of the body for the tail. Define 2 straight, equal edges for the branch and then make 3 small ovals at the bottom of its body for its feet. Next, draw a gem for her mouth, cover one side of it, and leave the opposite side white for the feature. You now have an animation of an adorable little owl drawing with those baselines. You can stop here or continue below to add more details to the design if needed.

Step 5

For the final drawing stage, add more details to add the surface and complete the outline. If your drawing is in pencil, you can erase a small piece on the two eyes if you haven’t left synchronized white dots. I love the eyes on this little man. So expressive!

Step 6

Now for the stupid part! The most important thing you need to do is dress up your adorable owl! Grab your pens, markers, or shaded crayons and vary your mastery and respect your glance later.
